Scholarship scheme of President’s Fund
His Excellency the President has decided to award scholarships to students with financial difficulties, who have appeared for the G.E.C. (O/L) examination held in the year 2021 (2022) for the first time, passed the examination and expect to appear for the G.E.C. (A/L) examination in the year 2024. Applications are called from students who have fulfilled the following qualifications as per the selection criteria.
• Eligibility to Apply;
01. The monthly income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs.75,000/-.
02. Should be a student in a government school or a private school which no charges.
03. The applicant should have appeared in the G.E.C. (O/L) examination for the first time conducted in the year 2021 (2022) and be fully qualified to study G.E.C. (A/L) in the year 2024.
• One educational zone is entitled for 30 scholarships, selected scholarship recipients will be received Rs.5,000.00 per month and the offer will be granted for a maximum period of 24 months until appearing for the G.E.C. (A/L) .
• Measures have been taken to publish the relevant newspaper advertisement in “Dinamina and Thinakaran” newspapers on 05.12.2022, and at the same time steps have been made to inform the principals of all schools.
• The dully completed applications should be handed-over to the principal on or before 23.12.2022 as per the instructions given.
